At the inception of every LRE project and throughout every phase of a project’s lifecycle, we consider the land, natural resources, and related ecosystems.
Our Impact
We believe it’s our job to protect, preserve, and enhance the environment while delivering long-term community benefits of clean energy. Through frequent and transparent communication and trusted partnerships, we create economic progress and high-quality local jobs while supporting nearby organizations that our communities are passionate about.

Solar Project
SHEEP GRAZING AT HORIZON SOLAR
Frio County, Texas
Sheep grazing brings multiple advantages to renewable energy projects and is in perfect alignment with our land stewardship goals. LRE’s Horizon Solar project in Frio County, Texas hosts a flock of over 3000 Dorper sheep that graze beneath the site’s solar panels.
Communities
As dedicated members of our project communities, our involvement goes well beyond job creation, economic investment, and providing clean, renewable energy. We believe being a good neighbor means supporting the local causes our communities are passionate about. Whether through employee volunteer opportunities or corporate-level sponsorships, we look for positive ways to stay actively engaged with our communities.
One of the community benefits of clean energy is introducing the next generation’s workforce to innovative methodologies for renewable energy production. Beginning in 2025, LRE will be launching the LRE Foundation. The Foundation will play a vital role in supporting renewable energy adoption, advancing our positive environmental impact, furthering safe and healthy work practices, and uplifting the communities we work with through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and skill development.
Industry-Leading Research
LRE is collaborating with Argonne National Laboratory, academic and private institutions, and other renewable companies on a research project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. We are collectively working to standardize and maximize the soil ecosystem services provided by large-scale solar facilities.
Let’s build sustainable solutions together.
Let us show you how responsible renewable energy projects from LRE generate jobs and deliver reliable power for generations to come.
