LRE has various agrivoltaic practices (co-locating solar energy and agriculture) in effect at our operating plants ranging from pollinator habitats at Oak Trail Solar in North Carolina to LRE’s agrivoltaics pilot program at Big Plain Solar in Ohio which hosts both apiaries and sheep.

Mayes County Solar
Mayes County, Oklahoma
Leeward Renewable Energy (LRE) is developing three solar energy facilities in Mayes County, Oklahoma near the city of Pryor Creek. The facilities will be located on privately–owned land and will generate a total of approximately 370 megawatts of clean energy.
SOLAR PROJECT
Morrow Lake Solar
Frio County, Texas
Morrow Lake Solar, LLC (“Morrow Lake Solar”) is constructing 200–megawatt (MW) solar energy facility approximately 60 miles south of San Antonio, Texas. The proposed facility will be located on approximately 2,000 acres along Interstate 35 in Frio County.

White Wing Ranch Solar
Yuma County, Arizona
White Wing Ranch Solar, LLC (“White Wing Ranch”) is constructing a 179–megawatt (MW) solar energy facility in Yuma County, AZ. The facility is located on approximately 1,400 acres of privately–owned land near the towns of Dateland and Hyder, AZ. The project received a Special Use Permit (SUP) from Yuma County and a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) from the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC).
